Ma Trousse de Lecture

Parents, you have likely seen this booklet come home in the last few days. It is an activity book to use when students are reading in French.  It was put together by Mme Isaac and I as a way of extending their learning when reading in French.  I have asked students to complete 2 activities a week.  I will be picking up the booklet each Tuesday and Friday.  Students will need to read a French book, or a chapter in a French book, and then complete 1 activity (usually 1 page in the booklet). I have not explained every activity.  Rather, the students have been encouraged to read through the instructions on their own.  They are fairly straight forward activities.  Anyone who has exhausted all of their options to figure out the question on their own (dictionary, look for clues on the page, ask a friend/parent, wordreference.com) can bring the booklet in the following day to check with me.  By the end of the year, students will have read at least 36 books (or chapters) in French...quite an accomplishment!
